Our Chef
Nick is our new head chef and we are very excited to have him as a permanent member of the team. He has spent the last 11 years working in some very popular pubs throughout Surrey and will be working tirelessly to drive our high standards. He shares our vision of using local suppliers, ethically sourced produce, herbs and veg from our own garden or even some wild blackberries foraged on his day off, where possible.
Outside of work, Nick enjoys cooking (no surprises there!), fishing and walking his dogs.
Our Landlady
Sasha is our wonderful General Manager, having had her first drink as a teenager in The Dog & Pheasant in 1989, and has loved the pub ever since.
Sasha began her working life in PR, up until she had her daughter, where she then moved out to Spain for a number of years, before eventually returning back to Surrey with a son now in her clan too.
On her return the atmosphere and community feel of the hospitality industry piqued her fancy. Sasha ran The Albany, which was our sister pub located in Guildford. However, after a successful amount of years at The Albany, she left in 2018 to become a leathersmith, which was a passion of hers that she wanted to finally fulfill!
In May 2023 she took over from her old friend Dave Hall as General Manager. She still runs her leathersmith business ‘Made in Peper Harrow’, whilst simultaneously managing The Dog & Pheasant… we don’t know how she finds the energy!
